About me

My name is Juan Martin Laborde, and I'm from Argentina. I have been in Germany for 2 years. I studied at UTN University in Buenos Aires and here in Germany at Le Wagon. Both were diploma courses in web development, with the first focusing on React and the second on Ruby on Rails. For several years, I worked in different technology companies such as HP, IBM, and Accenture, where I developed a strong sense of teamwork. I am looking for a job as a Front-End developer, both in React and Ruby on Rails, as my strength lies in working on the aesthetics of web pages. It's something I really enjoy, a discovery I made throughout the diploma courses I completed, where my projects were characterized by their aesthetics and the proper functioning of each part. At Le Wagon, we worked as a group on a final project called Lingo Live, a web application for mobile phones where people can practice the language of their choice through flashcards, chats, or video calls. My primary role within the team was to take care of or assist with the aesthetics of different sections. Additionally, since I already have experience in programming, I reviewed and helped my colleagues with the correct implementation of the code.

In the UTN diploma, my final website was based on video games, as I was working for PlayStation at that time, and I drew inspiration from there. I envisioned this website as a tribute to games that marked the childhood of many people, focusing heavily on the visual aspect. I worked on both the front and back-end of this website. This project earned me the highest grade in my course and can be viewed in my portfolio, along with other projects I did independently as part of my ongoing training and application of everything learned in the courses. Additionally, I engage in self-directed learning, always seeking to acquire new knowledge and stay updated on the latest technologies.

I am a person who always seeks new challenges, and this field is extremely interesting in that regard and I believe I am the right person.
